Review: The kings of radio rock have come back with their most radio friendly album to date. Now, I’m not ashamed to admit that I like Nickelback, as I think they’re a lot of fun. But this album definately went for the slow radio ballad type song waaaaaaaay too much. Too much slower Someday and How You Remind Me stuff, and not enough harder Woke Up This Morning and Figured You Out stuff. The album is growing on me, but it’s still very hit and miss. And they took what could have been the best song on the album and slowed it down and took all the fun out of it. Next Contestant had been played live since the days of The State, and it used to rock. Now its a plodding, boring, same tempo snoozefest. The Dimebag tribute song is decent though. For all the negative things I’ve just said, I acutally do like the album, it just could have been a lot better.
