Review: 137 is a Rochester-based band that plays a sludgy, very heavy brand of metal (comparisons can be drawn to Type O Negative). I got this CD by way of one of their guitar players, Denise, who used to work at the racetrack. The four songs on the EP definately showcase the band’s talents, and the production is outstanding, I’ve heard nationally released CD’s that aren’t as crisp and clean sounding. While I usually like my metal a bit faster, this is certainly a nice change of pace.
